About The Position
This role functions as a scientific advisor at the Director level, providing expert scientific guidance and strategic input. The position partners with organizational leadership to drive technical excellence and innovation across multiple teams and programs. The scientist will conduct sophisticated analyses of business and scientific challenges, developing mathematical models and computational solutions for complex organizational needs. They will design innovative computer systems and software architectures, ensuring scalable, cost-effective solutions, particularly in emerging technologies like automated reasoning, machine learning, and neuro-symbolic reasoning. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-organizational projects, establishing performance standards, and consulting with stakeholders from customers to management to determine technical requirements and drive scientific and product solutions. The role involves leading scientific reviews, overseeing large-scale collaborative projects, and influencing the adoption of new technologies. Mentoring team members, conducting promotion assessments, and participating in the broader scientific community through conferences, workshops, and outreach efforts are also key aspects. The scientist will ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, maintain external partnerships to advance scientific initiatives, and deliver accurate, scalable, and commercially viable solutions.
Requirements
- PhD degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Must have one year of experience in Python or similar scripting.
- Must have one year of experience in strong algorithm development.
- Must have one year of experience in state-of-the-art automated reasoning technologies.
- Must have one year of experience with mentorship and/or management of senior scientists and engineers.
