The Technology Strategy Consulting practice helps C-suite executives make informed decisions about how technology can transform their businesses, leveraging Gartner’s research and insights for strategic decisions. They deliver value in areas such as IT Strategy Consulting, Benchmarking, Analytics and Optimization, supporting clients in Digital Acceleration and Transformation, Enterprise Enablement, Big Data and Analytics, Applications Rationalization, Cloud Strategy, Sourcing and Ecosystem Optimization, Contract and Cost Optimization, and Security and Risk Management.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years’ experience within Microsoft enterprise software licensing, contracting, and commercials.
  • Understanding of Microsoft corporate strategy, sales behaviors, go-to-market approach, products, use rights, and licensing.
  • Insights into Microsoft’s volume licensing programs: EA, SCE, MCA-E, CSP, Azure MACC, etc.
  • Deep expertise in contract management and contract optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills, especially in software deployment versus licensing/subscription analysis, cost modeling, risk mitigation, license/subscription optimization and cost reduction.
  • Dynamic presentation skills and experience in presenting to clients at all levels (technical, procurement and C-Level executives).
  • Ability to ‘think outside the box’ and respond effectively to questions.
  • Strong organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high quality deliverables & content for clients.
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data and produce logical conclusions.
  • Comfortable taking direction and building trust-based, value-added relationships with team members and senior executives.
  • Coachable and embracing of best practices and feedback as a means of continuous improvement.
  • A consistently high achiever marked by perseverance, humility and a positive outlook in the face of challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Execute contract optimization client engagements.
  • Provide critical technical/analytical/knowledge components to advise clients with a focus on Microsoft.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice.
  • Work credibly and collaboratively with distant/international team members.
