About The Position

This is a Power Management IC Architect position for a qualified individual to work in Renesas' Advanced Mixed Signal and ASIC Solution Business Division. The primary role is to explore, define and evaluate PMIC IC architectures, follow and drive industry standardization on PMIC design; support and bridge the development with other cross functional teams and enable world-class power management products. The Candidate should have wide caliber in Power Electronics, abundance experience in successfully designing PMIC, skillful in power electronic simulation tools and good knowledge in the application field of power electronics. The candidate will also involve or drive design documentation, silicon evaluation, circuit debugging, production test development support, and customer and applications support. He/she will also be involved in the specification of technology requirements for future products.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in power management circuits, various switch-mode power supply architectures; switching regulators, LDO.
  • Experience on fast response DCDC converters and switched capacitor converters are required.
  • Proven experience in high-precision analog integrated circuit design - amplifiers, comparators, regulators, oscillators, and references.
  • Solid experience and understanding of CMOS and BCD process technologies and circuit design.
  • Proficient in circuit and system simulation tools (Cadence, Matlab) and Office Environment Software.
  • Experience with mixed-signal simulation in the cadence AMS environment.
  • Experience and capability with lab evaluation
  • Industry standardization and application field experiences

  • Strong Communication and Teamwork Skills
  • Highly Motivated and Creative Individuals
  • BSEE with 15+ years of relevant experience, or MSEE or PH.D. in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics with 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
