About The Position

Working in the Advanced Power Systems group of the Power and Energy business line, the candidate will be part of a team developing PMICs for auto and industrial applications. The role involves architecting designs of next-generation PMICs and leading these designs throughout the development stages until production. Key challenges include defining IC architecture and leading technical execution from design, verification, and validation of mixed-signal PMICs for automotive and industrial applications, ensuring all technical deliverables meet performance, quality, reliability, and safety requirements. Based on product and system requirement specifications, the candidate will create and maintain the IC architecture, partitioning it into subsystem and interface specifications that support automotive and industrial power management solutions. The role requires leading the analog design aspects of product development, driving architecture definition, circuit implementation, and validation for high-performance PMICs used in automotive and industrial systems. This includes leading the design and development of analog and mixed-signal circuits for DC-DC converters, such as error amplifiers, voltage and current references, compensation networks, current sensing circuits, protection circuits, gate drivers, startup circuits, and power sequencing functions. Ensuring compliance with automotive and industrial standards, addressing challenges related to power efficiency, robustness, functional safety, thermal performance, and long-term reliability is crucial. Collaboration with digital, system, validation, and application teams is essential to deliver scalable power management solutions for automotive and industrial customers. The position also involves aligning with customers and product definers to set the right product targets for automotive and industrial PMIC solutions, supporting test and quality teams during the product development cycle, and working with other team members to build design knowledge and continuously improve PMIC development methodologies.
