About The Position

The Principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software Architect leads the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI and software engineering solutions across the enterprise. The role combines AI expertise with software systems architecture leadership to drive innovation, scalability, and excellence in engineering practices.

The architect designs AI-driven platforms and scalable software systems aligned with strategic business goals, works with engineering, product, and business teams to define use cases, and selects technologies and tools for performance, scalability, and maintainability. The role also establishes engineering and AI best practices, mentors teams, guides technical strategy, ensures privacy, security, and ethical compliance, and champions engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in software architecture and engineering, including at least 2 years focused on AI/ML systems.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with application development tools, including Visual Studio .NET.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with relational database technology, preferably MS SQL Server.
• Proven experience designing and deploying AI/ML and software solutions at scale in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Expertise in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages within the respective divisions.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Advanced analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced written and oral communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and influencing teams.
• Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking and align technical vision with business objectives.
• Ability to build trust and influence across organizational levels, driving consensus and momentum for complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead development of AI-driven platforms and scalable software systems aligned with strategic business goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define use cases and deliver impactful solutions.
• Evaluate and select AI and software technologies, frameworks, and tools for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Establish and promote best practices in AI model development, MLOps, software engineering, DevOps, and system architecture.
• Mentor engineering teams and foster innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Drive technical strategy and long-term planning aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Ensure data privacy, security, and ethical standards are followed in AI and software initiatives.
• Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.
