About The Position

As a Principal AI Researcher, you will join a cross-functional team of scientists, engineers, and drug hunters working to advance scalable biomedical discovery. You will work at the forefront of AI-powered drug discovery, advancing frontier research and end-to-end applications across discovery, design, and translation.

The role is part of Recursion’s effort to develop a unifying biomedical world model that bridges virtual patients and virtual cells and turns real-world data into a discovery engine connecting clinical care and drug discovery. Recursion describes its environment as combining frontier research, industrialized wet and dry labs, and real-world delivery, with close feedback loops and rapid iteration.

Requirements

• PhD in machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 10 years of frontier AI research experience.
• Experience working with large datasets and on cross-functional AI projects.
• Passion for real-world applications and impact.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn about biomedicine and drug discovery.
