ServiceNow•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

Despite the listed title, the posting describes the role as Principal Forward Deployed Engineer within ServiceNow’s CRM & Industry Engineering group. This is a senior, customer-facing engineering role focused on turning agentic AI ambitions into production solutions for customer workflows, including sales automation, CPQ, customer service, and field service. The role leads the group’s technical direction, establishes reusable architectures and deployment patterns, and owns the correctness, reliability, and business outcomes of delivered agentic systems. The engineer works directly with customer business and technical teams, spending most of their time on discovery, solutioning, and deployment. They translate customer needs into well-scoped use cases, design and deploy agentic AI solutions on the ServiceNow platform, and advise customers on capabilities, limitations, tradeoffs, and responsible adoption. • Working command of LLM behavior, evaluation, and failure modes sufficient to reason about and verify agentic solutions in production.
  • Expert-level system design and solution architecture skills, including end-to-end design across systems and data, sound decisions under uncertainty, and judgment about what to build, buy, or configure.
