About The Position

Oracle Health is seeking a Principal AI Agent Architect to define and build the technical foundation for a new AI engineering capability. This capability will focus on production AI agents, LLM-enabled workflow automation, semantic intelligence, and governed AI integration across analytics and data platforms. The role involves owning the end-to-end architecture for agent-based systems, defining patterns for agent orchestration, tool and function calling, retrieval and grounding, evaluation, model selection, security, auditability, and runtime controls. The architect will also establish reusable platform standards for efficient and consistent AI use case delivery. This position is a founding technical leadership role, acting as the senior technical lead for the AI team, partnering with leadership on priorities, hiring, team structure, and roadmap sequencing. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on architectural depth and the maturity to build and guide a multidisciplinary AI team, providing AI expertise while domain experts offer business and data context. This role is crucial for establishing strong technical foundations for Oracle Health’s AI capabilities, moving beyond prototypes, and ensuring the team's self-sufficiency in AI engineering, LLM systems, and agent-based development.

Responsibilities

Define and build the technical foundation for a new AI engineering capability focused on production AI agents, LLM-enabled workflow automation, semantic intelligence, and governed AI integration across analytics and data platforms.
Own the end-to-end architecture for agent-based systems that interact with enterprise tools and data in safe, scalable, and observable ways.
Define patterns for agent orchestration, tool and function calling, retrieval and grounding, evaluation, model selection, security, auditability, and runtime controls.
Establish reusable platform standards that enable multiple AI use cases to be delivered efficiently and consistently.
Serve as a founding technical leader for the team.
Act as the senior technical lead for the AI team.
Partner directly with leadership to shape priorities, hiring, team structure, and roadmap sequencing.
Help build and guide a multidisciplinary AI team.
Ensure Oracle Health’s AI capabilities are built on strong technical foundations rather than one-off prototypes.
Ensure the team can be self-sufficient in AI engineering, LLM systems, and agent-based development from the start.
