About The Position

This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations. This role serves as a strategic advisor, operational extension, and force multiplier for the Vice President of Facilities, Maintenance, Security and Operations (FMSO). The Prin. Program Manager enables broader organizational reach and ensures the consistent execution of leadership priorities across the enterprise. Operating with a high degree of trust, discretion, and autonomy, this position blends business operations management with hands-on leadership, requiring both strategic vision and tactical execution. The successful candidate will translate leadership vision into actionable programs and drive them to completion, providing critical decision support for all FMSO functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, real estate, construction management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in facilities management, corporate real estate, manufacturing operations, or a related industry.
  • 8+ years of experience in project/program management, business operations, or a strategic role.
  • Proven ability to connect day-to-day work to long-term organizational goals and translate strategy into action.
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience using data to drive decisions and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills: clear, concise, and effective verbal, written, and presentation skills for executive-level audiences.
  • Exceptional judgment and discretion, with experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • A strong bias for action and ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and dynamic environment.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience in a Chief of Staff or similar business planning role supporting senior leadership.
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale capital projects or corporate real estate portfolios.
  • Experience with integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) or enterprise asset management (EAM) software.
  • Certified as a Six Sigma Blackbelt or experience with Lean principles applied to operational or maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the Vice President, FMSO.
  • Partner with FMSO leadership to implement and track organizational strategies, goals, and OKRs related to facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, and site services.
  • Translate leadership vision into actionable plans with clear owners, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Monitor progress against strategic priorities, proactively identifying and flagging risks, delays, or obstacles.
  • Prepare materials for business reviews, strategic planning cycles, Board meetings, and other high-visibility executive forums.
  • Drive critical cross-functional initiatives and special projects on behalf of the VP, ensuring accountability and forward momentum on key FMSO deliverables.
  • Create and maintain program management artifacts, including a running portfolio of active initiatives with clear status visibility for leadership.
  • Follow up with stakeholders across the company to ensure commitments and action items are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Identify and remove organizational barriers to success, developing courses of action to overcome issues and facilitate progress on capital projects and operational improvements.
  • Manage a regular business rhythm for the FMSO organization, including headcount tracking, budget allocation, and business analytics.
  • Synthesize complex information, data, and recommendations related to site operations, maintenance metrics, and facility usage into clear briefings to inform critical business decisions.
  • Conduct research and analysis, developing business cases, position papers, and decision frameworks for infrastructure investments, new site services, or operational changes.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies within FMSO and develop data-driven solutions to improve effectiveness, reduce costs, and enhance service levels.
  • Aid the FMSO teams in effective decision-making on complex infrastructure, maintenance, and site operations scenarios.
  • Lead change management activities to evaluate, coordinate, and approve new requirements or changes impacting site operations.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the VP and all stakeholders, coordinating FMSO-wide internal communications (announcements, updates, all-hands presentations).
  • Represent the VP in meetings where appropriate and ensure alignment between FMSO activities and the needs of its internal customers (business units).
