Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical field, or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 9-12 years of relevant experience.
  • 7-10 years' work experience
  • Self-starter who can identify opportunities based on existing business problems, other industries and analogous businesses. Creative thinker, intellectually curious, and interested in emerging technologies.
  • Strong organization and project management skills to manage cross-functional projects with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high expectations. Ability to work effectively across organizational levels and with external partners.
  • Superior written and verbal skills communications skills and experience creating high quality presentations for executive audiences
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in technology and innovation.
  • Experience leading and managing projects or sub- teams and knowledge of project management.
  • Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability. Ability to identify and define business challenges and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in Technology, MBA or related discipline.
  • Familiarity with technology, innovation and start-up culture.
  • Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Innovation resources in accordance with Innovation in utility process.
  • Provide guidance to project teams with innovative ideas to help them plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with applicable project management standards.
  • Lead and manage Innovation projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and innovation partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Utilize Innovation processes and Innovation platform to provide guidance to teams that are recommending innovative new technologies or process improvement efforts Member of the Advisory Committee that provides guidance to teams to see if they qualify for pilot project funding.
  • Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of innovation processes and technology solutions to deliver business results.
  • Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for Innovation employees.
  • Assist in managing budget for area of responsibility.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $119,200.00/Yr. – $163,900.00/Yr.
