About The Position

The Primer role is responsible for preparing, priming, patching, cleaning, and painting of truck beds/surfaces. Primers must be able to utilize all types of painting materials such as primers, polyurethanes, and lacquer thinner finishes according to proper work instruction.

Requirements

Minimum grade 12 education is required.
Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a must.
Knowledge and understanding of TS 16949.
Mechanically inclined with attention to detail.
Must complete Medical Evaluation including Respirator Fit Test.
Experience using manual tools.
Must be able to perform continuous manual Labor.
Manually apply primer by hand brush application.
Must possess and maintain a Driver’s License.

Certificate or diploma in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

Ensuring work is carried out per the work instructions
Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches, cleans and paints truck beds, surfaces, utilizing all types of painting materials such as primers, polyurethanes, and lacquer thinner finishes.
Tapes, sands, repairs and applies texturing thinner finishes.
Responsible for understanding the final Quality check process after priming application is applied.
Has clear understanding of how to operate, clean and maintain all priming equipment.
Keeps records and submits reports of work.
Perform work in a safe manner per the Company Health and Safety Policy and OSHA Requirements.
Alert immediate Supervisor of any problems or concerns relating to safety.
Erects scaffolding, rigging and ladders as necessary in a manner consistent with safety codes.
Other duties as may be assigned.
