About The Position

Clementine Briarcliff Manor is a residential treatment program in Briarcliff Manor, New York, serving adolescents seeking treatment for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, or exercise addiction. The program supports adolescents and their families in pursuing recovery, helping clients develop healthy skills and prepare to navigate life without an eating disorder. Families are treated as partners in the recovery process.

The Primary Therapist joins a multidisciplinary treatment team and provides individual, group, and family therapy. The role includes collaboration with families and outpatient providers, insurance-related coordination, discharge and aftercare planning, and therapeutic meal support. The therapist provides safe, empathetic, and affirming care that recognizes each client’s unique circumstances and intersecting identities. The role may also involve supporting virtual patient care and telehealth services when needed, including during low census or to address coverage needs.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in clinical counseling or a related discipline, at minimum.
• State license or license eligibility in a counseling field, such as Psychologist, LMFT, LCSW, or LPC.
• Knowledge of diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with eating disorders and higher levels of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
• Serve as a liaison with families and outpatient providers.
• Interact with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management.
• Participate in discharge and aftercare planning.
• Provide therapeutic meal support while modeling a healthy relationship with food.
• Provide safe, empathetic, and affirming care based on clients’ unique circumstances and intersecting identities.
• Support virtual patient care and telehealth services as needed, including during periods of low census or to address coverage needs.
