About The Position

Sage Recovery Villa is a 15-bed, 35-day residential treatment center for adults specializing in the treatment of substance abuse and mental health disorders. This luxury treatment center is located on 24-acres of countryside estate, just east of Austin in Manor, TX. Sage is currently looking for a Full-time therapist who specializes in the treatment of substance and trauma to work at the Sage Recovery Villa location. This is a daytime position with a Tuesday through Saturday schedule involving residential clients who are usually earlier in their healing journey.

Requirements

  • Texas Master's license in Counseling or Social Work (LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC, LMFT-A, LMFT)
  • Degree from an accredited institution, verifiable by State/National boards
  • Proficiency in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders using evidence-based methodology
  • Knowledge of efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with chronic mental health and substance use issues
  • Knowledge of 12-step and other sober support groups
  • Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral assessments, interventions relevant to mental health conditions, disease model, motivational interviewing, CBT, stages of change, recovery stages, etc.
  • Knowledge of basic psychopharmacology and medical terminology
  • Case-management skills and knowledge of local resources for outside referrals.
  • Experience conducting therapeutic groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with trauma is a plus
  • DBT experience a plus
  • DBT training, a plus but not required
  • Experience with substance abuse, trauma, and/or holistic treatment preferred
  • Yoga, AcuDetox, and other additional licenses also a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate group, individual, and family therapies
  • Conduct psychosocial and diagnostic assessments within the 72 hour intake timeframe
  • Fill out and maintain clinical paperwork including, but not limited to, daily treatment notes, master treatment plans, group notes, IT notes, progress notes, treatment plan updates, and discharge summaries
  • Help clients develop relapse-preventative plans, promote continuity of care/improvement, and assist in the step-down process from treatment; may include referrals, if necessary.
  • Build rapport and maintain contact with client's professional and personal support system, as needed
  • Counsel family members on how to understand and support your client
  • Attend weekly staff meetings, consults, and on-site trainings
  • Develop curriculum for Process and Skills group in an inpatient environment
  • Maintain requirements to keep license current (LPC, LCSW, LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT, etc)
