About The Position

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers is building our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade. As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program. You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. This role will work with patients in our Mood & Anxiety Program, while also offering the opportunity to be cross-trained within our specialty programs and services: Trauma, OCD/Complex Anxiety, Mental Health and Substance Use. The Primary Clinical Therapist is ideal for someone who is eager to collaborate with an array of clinicians and patient populations, while broadening their clinical skillset through ample training and support.

Requirements

  • Are a Psychologist or Master’s level therapist (required)
  • Hold a Master's level clinical license
  • Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), as well as other evidenced-based therapies
  • Have experience with patients in crisis, ideally prior experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
  • Provide group and individual therapy
  • Provide family therapy as needed
  • Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, on a weekly basis or as needed
  • Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
  • Communicate with patients’ homeschool and attend school re-entry meetings
  • Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need
  • Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care, transition plan and/or discharge
  • Chart progress of patients appropriately
  • Complete administrative documentation (initial treatment plans/updates, discharges, attendance, research)
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Provide insurance utilization team with updates
