About The Position

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic STEM School is seeking a part-time Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is for a practicing Catholic passionate about sharing the faith with young students and promoting active lifestyles for Christ. The teacher will be an integral part of the school's dynamic Catholic STEM program, which focuses on forming young people with virtue, knowledge, and skills, emphasizing communication, collaboration, and innovation. The curriculum follows the Archdiocese of Denver standards. Although employed by Saints Peter and Paul Catholic STEM School, the teacher will be paid through Jeffco Public Schools.

Requirements

  • Must be a practicing Catholic.
  • Must have a teaching license or certificate valid in Colorado, or be willing to complete an archdiocesan teacher formation program.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must attend Safe Environment training.
  • Must attend Catholic Worldview seminars.
  • Embody core values: Joyful, Faithful, Dynamic Learner and committed to building a Family Spirit.
  • Be an experienced educator in all subject areas that supports and understands the Catholic school mission.
  • Be willing to be a member of a collaborative team of teachers.
  • Applicants must be a Catholic in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and support the educational goals and objectives of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic STEM School and the mission of the Catholic Church.
  • Plan and deliver daily lessons in concert with the elementary teaching standards and benchmarks established by the Archdiocese of Denver.
  • Provide classroom instruction and activities that reflect the Catholic intellectual tradition and knowledge of 21st century best practices in education.
  • Demonstrate positive classroom management skills and strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, peer educators, and administrators.
