About The Position

The Renfrew Center of Coconut Creek, Florida, is seeking a Behavioral Health Therapist to provide eating-disorder treatment in a research-based program focused on treating the whole person and supporting patients in leading rich and fulfilling lives. The Center provides a warm, nurturing environment and serves cisgender adolescent girls and adult women, transgender individuals, and non-binary individuals. Its treatment philosophy emphasizes collaborative therapeutic relationships, a feminist-relational approach, and active patient participation in recovery. The role involves providing individual, family, and group therapy to adults and adolescents, along with case management services. The therapist collaborates with referral sources and outpatient providers, communicates with insurance companies regarding continued authorization, participates as an active member of the treatment team, and maintains timely clinical documentation. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some evenings required.

Requirements

Master's degree or higher in a mental health field.
At least two years of direct-services experience after completing the degree.

Nice To Haves

Professional licensure is preferred.
Experience working with patients who have eating disorders and trauma is strongly preferred.
Bilingual ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, and group therapy for adults and adolescents.
Provide case management services.
Collaborate with referral sources and outpatient providers, including therapists, dieticians, primary care physicians, and psychiatrists.
Communicate with insurance companies to ensure continued authorization of the caseload.
Participate as an active member of the treatment team.
Maintain clinical documentation in a timely manner.
