The Primary Classroom Teacher will implement the educational program for students, diagnose their achievement levels, and plan, prescribe, and direct learning activities. This role involves motivating students, creating a positive learning atmosphere, evaluating student progress, and assisting with student counseling for academic, personal, social, and career improvement. The teacher will also implement school or district curricular goals, ensure substitutes have necessary information, and prepare effective lesson plans. Additionally, the role includes assisting in curriculum development, assessing needs for instructional materials and equipment, and preparing lists of material and equipment needs. The teacher will inform students of pertinent school or district regulations, confer with parents on student progress and attitudes, and supervise students in various school areas according to Board policy. This position also involves assisting in the enforcement of school regulations, participating in inservice programs, maintaining records, checking attendance, sponsoring clubs and activities, taking responsibility for issued materials, adhering to Board of Education policies and district/school guidelines, supervising bus students, attending faculty meetings, participating in professional activities, and staying informed of curriculum developments. Other duties as assigned.
