Primary Charge Registered Nurse Weekend Emergency Services
About The Position
This is an 11/12 Weekend position with a 40% Weekend Premium and a $4.00 Night Shift Differential. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital. Reporting to the manager/director and according to departmental policies and nursing care standards, this role assists in overseeing and directing the work of nursing personnel engaged in providing patient/nursing care services to patients on assigned shifts. The position demonstrates accountability for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, enhancing the patient/family experience, and providing effective leadership contributing to the delivery of the organization’s objectives. The role involves determining work priorities, preparing daily work assignments, and serving as a resource person for unit personnel, resolving operational and patient care problems. The RN will be scheduled and required to work 11 out of every 12 weekends.
Requirements
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
- Current State License as a Registered Nurse required.
- BLS and ACLS, PALS, or other certification as required by unit.
- 2 years of experience on the unit or similar unit required.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively lead and direct the work of other employees in order to effectively interact with patients, families, physicians.
