About The Position

Posterity Group LLC is seeking to staff The Dayton VA Medical Center with Primary Care Providers, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Advanced Medical Support Assistants (AMSAs). These professionals will be responsible for providing primary care services within the facility. The team operates collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • A current license from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Current certification in CPR by an American Health Association Vendor.
  • Current BLS certification. If assigned to a specialty clinic, contractor RNs shall also have current ACLS certification.
  • A minimum of one (1) year direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.

  • VA experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Be present on time for any scheduled clinic as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
  • RNs shall determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.
  • AMSA shall perform a full range of receptionist duties: customer service, maintain appointment schedules for one or more clinics or units, operating office machines, store, distribute, account for stores of materials, deliver messages, be knowledgeable of business standards and/or operating procedures within each respective clinic or ward, assist with clinic access contingency plans by adjusting appointment times/locations/dates as well as shift patients to other healthcare providers as conflict with staffing and/or coverage occurs.
  • AMSA shall be able to manage the administrative nonclinical aspect of the Primary care team, that includes but not limited to scheduling, and is expected to facilitate any action from inception to closure by tasking, tracking, supporting required functions and other patient activities.
  • The team works collaboratively with other members of an expanded healthcare team to include all necessary services and employees in the facility to provide a robust interdisciplinary approach to care.
  • Shall conduct a daily review of active/pending consults, Recall, return to clinic list communications for accuracy and disposition.
