About The Position

This role is for a Primary Care Sales Consultant responsible for implementing sales strategies for an approved Cardiorenal product and driving launch activities for an anticipated menopause product. The position involves developing, coordinating, and implementing strategic business plans to drive demand, clinical education, and sales among Primary Care Physicians, primarily in community settings. The role reports to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and collaborates with internal partners like Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services to achieve US Pharma outcomes. The territory covers Canton, Acworth, Jasper, Dalton, Rome, and Kennesaw, GA, with up to 50% travel. The position is residence-based, requiring the candidate to be domiciled within the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing long-standing relationships with customers.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to comply with any customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., up-to-date vaccinations, trainings).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • In-depth knowledge in the cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states.
  • Product launch experience.
  • Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
  • Virtual Sales Experience.
  • Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop professional relationships with primary care physicians and pharmacy staff within assigned customers.
  • Drive appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular and menopause products.
  • Generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs in collaboration with the Customer Squad.
  • Leverage expertise in diabetes and menopause markets, competitors, and industry trends to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide input to sales leadership and regional account managers on strategic and tactical planning.
  • Develop and implement effective customer-specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of physicians based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand and meet customer product and business needs while adhering to Bayer's ethics and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate barriers to goal achievement and propose solutions.
  • Handle customer objections effectively and exceed customer expectations.
  • Share exemplary skills with others in the region in a training capacity.
  • Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency.
  • Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations, applying high ethical standards.
