About The Position

Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is seeking full-time Family Medicine Core Faculty physicians to join Einstein Family Medicine at Logan Plaza, the Family Medicine resident clinic for Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia. The clinic serves North Philadelphia, a diverse, urban, and medically underserved population. The residency is an ACGME-accredited, three-year program with six residents in each class. Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is a Level 1 Regional Resource Trauma Center, has more than 30 ACGME-accredited residencies and fellowships, and is a major academic affiliate of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.

Two schedule options are offered. Option 1 includes 6–9 weeks on the inpatient Family Medicine Hospital Teaching Service and approximately four outpatient residency-clinic sessions per week providing direct patient care; remaining sessions are for precepting and academic or administrative time. Option 2 includes 6–9 weeks on the inpatient service and approximately eight outpatient residency-clinic sessions per week seeing patients independently, with occasional precepting coverage required.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited program.
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency.
• Appropriate licenses and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the outpatient Family Medicine residency clinic.
• Serve on the inpatient Family Medicine Hospital Teaching Service for 6–9 weeks, depending on the schedule option.
• Precept residents, as applicable to the schedule option.
• Use designated time for academic and administrative work under Schedule Option 1.
• Provide occasional precepting coverage under Schedule Option 2.
