About The Position

Legacy Health is recruiting outpatient physicians for their primary care clinics in South Portland. These clinics are staffed by physicians and advanced practitioners who have been with Legacy for several years. The primary care providers are supported by designated MAs and care teams, including panel coordinators, social workers, RN case managers, behavioral health clinicians, pharmacy techs, and pharmacists. The role involves a 100% outpatient clinical practice with unmatched Epic/EHR support through the Super Thrive Program. The position offers dedicated, clinic-based nurse care management, social worker and behavioral health support, dedicated pharmacy support, and a dedicated panel coordinator to assist with patient outreach and care gap closure. Physicians will work in collaboration with a team of providers, and there are opportunities in rural health clinics to qualify for a special location stipend.

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Graduate of a four-year medical school or equivalent and completed internal or family medicine residency.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in internal or family medicine.
• Current Oregon state medical license and DEA certificate.
• Unrestricted Oregon medical license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• As a physician, you are responsible for the patient throughout treatment.
• Reviewing clinical history, providing the physical examination, diagnosing and treating both chronic and episodic disorders.
• Work in collaboration with the team.
• Maintain own panel of patients and share call coverage for the clinic.
