About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our team at Humanitary Medical Center Kissimmee, Inc. Humanitary Medical Center is opening two new locations in the Orlando area. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, mostly elderly. Your primary focus will be on preventive care, health maintenance, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
  • Current DEA registration
  • Have malpractice insurance

  • Experience working in a primary care setting- Medicare and Medicaid patients
  • Experience working with electronic medical records
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of patients
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Prescribing medications and other treatments as needed
  • Providing patient education and counseling on health and wellness topics
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care
  • Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and clinic policies.
  • Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and prescriptions in the electronic health record system.
  • Provide patients with health education on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Meet metrics of evaluating 18+ patients per day
  • Adhere to medical best practices, protocols, and legal requirements
  • Practice quality improvement initiatives within the clinic.
  • May require on-call responsibilities or weekend shifts once a month
