About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Physician to join its team at Augusta State Medical Prison in Augusta, Georgia. The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations; treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues; provides and supervises treatment for chronic medical conditions; and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries among patients in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or the Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to pass credentialing and a background check.
