Primary Care Paramedic
About The Position
24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions is seeking a Canadian Certified Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) to work at a mine in the Yukon. The PCP will join a team of other PCPs and will be supported remotely by a team of ER physicians. This position is anticipated to run through October 2026 and may be extended, with the potential to transition into a long-term, full-time role. The role involves providing medical support for injuries or illnesses on-site, working within approved medical directives and formulary, and having access to 24/7 on-call emergency medicine consultants. Prior experience in occupational medicine or remote care is an asset.
Requirements
- Canadian Certified Primary Care Paramedic (current and in good standing)
- Canadian Primary Care Paramedic licence in good standing
- BLS
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in occupational medicine
- Prior experience in the provision of care in a remote setting
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers.
- Make transport decisions within their scope of practice.
- Practice within the medical directives and formulary as approved by the 24/7 OEMS Medical Director.
- Work as part of the on-site and remote clinical team.
- Provide medical support for any injuries or illnesses on-site.
