Requirements
- Master's or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current Nurse Practitioner license or ability to obtain Alaska licensure
- National Board Certification (FNP, AGPCNP, AGACNP, or applicable certification)
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, or community health
- Experience managing chronic diseases in an outpatient setting
- Passion for preventive medicine and patient engagement
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients across the lifespan
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, and health assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage medications
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing and laboratory studies
- Educate patients and families on healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and population health programs
