About The Position
The Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner will collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
Requirements
- Current Louisiana RN and APRN licensure required.
- BLS and ACLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Pulmonary, critical care, or internal medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams
- Diagnose and manage pulmonary conditions such as COPD, asthma, and pneumonia
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Provide patient education and coordinate care with the healthcare team
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
