Requirements

Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
APRN (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician Assistant) training
1+ years’ experience in an outpatient primary care or similar setting

Responsibilities

Perform routine physical examinations.
Formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols.
Identify problems outside of their scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician.
