About The Position

The Family Partnership is seeking a PRIDE Drop-In Coordinator to provide support, crisis intervention and advocacy services to individuals who are victims of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation, or prostitution. This is a regular, full-time position that will work 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Ability to write in English sufficiently to provide correct grammar in client case notes and written documents on behalf of clients.
  • An understanding of issues important to urban, low-income communities, communities of color, LGBTQIA+ communities, and other oppressed and/or vulnerable populations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency concerns when working with at-risk populations.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to motivate others, develop professional relationships, and collaborate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and the ability to meet TFP’s driving record requirements. Please note that if the license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you have 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident in which to apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide crisis intervention, support, information, and referrals to PRIDE Drop-In participants.
  • Connect clients with community resources and assist clients in accessing and utilizing available services.
  • Assist clients in obtaining housing resources and support.
  • Coordinate services between clients and external providers including probation officers, social workers, treatment centers, shelter teams, therapists, and medical professionals.
  • Assist participants with use of the PRIDE Drop-In clothing closet, laundry facilities, respite room, and shower as needed.
  • Provide orientation to all new participants regarding Drop-In space usage, facilities, and appliances.
  • Engage participants in activities including board games, arts and crafts, television viewing, and other supportive interactions.
  • Create and maintain a safe and welcoming environment by ensuring participants follow Drop-In center guidelines.
  • Maintain an orderly and up-to-date inventory of program supplies and coordinate restocking needs with designated program staff.
  • Maintain supplies of standard forms, promotional materials, and program documents.
  • Set up and clean PRIDE Drop-In rooms and shared spaces.
  • Report major repair needs and equipment failures to the Office Manager.
  • Document Drop-In center attendance, participant activities, facility usage, and engagement.
  • Maintain and foster relationships with partner organizations that provide resources and support to program participants.
