About The Position

Tyndale is seeking an experienced Pricing Strategy Manager to lead our Pricing team and help shape pricing strategies that support profitable growth, competitive positioning, and long-term customer relationships. In this role, you’ll combine pricing strategy, financial analysis, and team leadership to guide pricing decisions across existing and prospective customer accounts. You’ll lead a team of five, oversee day-to-day pricing operations and a large pricing database, analyze account profitability and margin opportunities, and develop pricing recommendations for RFPs, renewals, and strategic sales opportunities. You’ll also have the opportunity to modernize the function by identifying practical ways to use AI, automation, and improved processes to make pricing faster, more accurate, and more scalable. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 2 days per week, and 3 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, sales operations, account management support, or a related business function required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct people-management or supervisory experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members, prioritize work, provide performance feedback, and reinforce accountability. Or, 4 years of Tyndale experience may be considered.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, accounting, marketing, or a related degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate cost, margin, pricing, and customer/account profitability data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; experience with data management, reporting, or analytics tools preferred.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to clearly explain pricing recommendations, assumptions, risks, and business rationale.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder requests while maintaining data accuracy.
  • Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, customer pricing, renewals, or strategic sales opportunities preferred.
  • Experience with pricing databases, workflow systems, process automation, or practical applications of AI within pricing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Tyndale’s pricing function and a team of five direct reports, providing day-to-day direction, workload prioritization, coaching, training, performance feedback, and development.
  • Develop and recommend customer and prospect pricing strategies that balance margin optimization, competitive positioning, customer relationships, retention, and long-term account value.
  • Analyze account profitability, product and vendor cost changes, margin performance, and customer-specific pricing needs to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Lead pricing for RFPs, proposals, renewals, and strategic sales opportunities, partnering with Sales and other stakeholders to develop competitive and profitable recommendations.
  • Oversee recurring account margin reviews and pricing requests while ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent support for Sales and Account Management teams.
  • Own the integrity and effectiveness of Tyndale’s pricing database, ensuring thousands of items and vendor costs remain accurate, current, organized, and usable for pricing and margin analysis.
  • Identify and implement AI, automation, and process improvements that reduce manual work, improve data quality, and increase the speed, consistency, and scalability of pricing operations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Finance, Operations, Product, IT, and other teams to communicate pricing recommendations, assumptions, risks, and margin insights that support sound business decisions.
  • Establish clear team standards, processes, documentation, and cross-training while driving accountability, continuous improvement, and adoption of new tools and technologies.
