About The Position

The Pricing Specialist is responsible for customer pricing, pricing analysis, and quote management for Canadian customers. This role delivers accurate and timely pricing information while supporting business decisions through data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling. Working closely with Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Contracting, Logistics, and Finance teams, the Pricing Specialist helps optimize profitability, maintain pricing accuracy, and provide valuable market insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of related business, finance, pricing, or analytical experience.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative, solution-oriented approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of commodity markets and edible oils products is considered an asset.
  • Experience with SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), or other enterprise systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage daily customer price quotes based on commodity market activity and pricing models.
  • Support pricing initiatives and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes through margin analysis and pricing recommendations.
  • Maintain pricing data, premiums, margins, and related information within SAP.
  • Generate and distribute customer, channel, and product pricing reports and price lists.
  • Coordinate pricing and cost updates to support margin maintenance and profitability objectives.
  • Analyze sales, customer, product, and channel performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Conduct product and supply chain cost analysis and recommend opportunities to improve margins and efficiency.
  • Support SKU rationalization and product portfolio optimization initiatives.
  • Provide ad hoc business analysis and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Support SAP testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities to ensure pricing and sales data accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver insights and support commercial objectives.
