The Manager of Pricing is expected to build a highly motivated and efficient staff responsible for pricing household goods and logistics moves. The Manager of Pricing will be responsible for developing processes and workflows to ensure AWGI projects are priced for profitability within the established guidelines of the company. This person must be able to develop strong relationships with other Atlas departments, subsidiaries, agents and suppliers. The position requires the ability to work with Atlas agents, external clients/prospects and carriers for business development, client integration, and pricing solutions. The Manager of Pricing must be able to work with other members of the management team to contribute to the strategic vision of AWGI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or commercial strategy and minimum 1-2 years of people management experience, or equivalent combination of both education and experience are required.
  • Strong analytical and systems proficiency, including advanced Excel and experience with pricing, ERP, or reporting platforms, plus demonstrated success supporting RFPs or complex bids.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales and pricing staff. Hire and train new personnel as dictated by budget and business needs. Ensure all personnel are cross trained to handle multiple services and responsibilities. Conduct annual performance reviews of direct staff.
  • Develop efficient workflow processes and procedures. Have a complete understanding of all pricing, operating, and reporting systems that will be used by the pricing team and be able to contribute and participate in the procurement of new and/or enhancement of current platforms.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with agents and other service providers to obtain competitive rates and reciprocal shipments.
  • Manage corporate bids, RFPs and provide pricing input for account presentations. Assist with leading other projects as needed, such as rate filing for Government or Military.
  • Participate in monthly AWGI management meetings reporting on KPI’s specific to the sales and pricing team, key initiative updates, and needs based upon industry and internal trends for personnel, IT upgrades and process improvements.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
