Leads a team of Pricing Analysts to develop and utilize data insights in pricing the assortment of a business to business distributor while partnering with stakeholders from other functional teams to ensure that pricing optimizes both sales performance and company profitability. Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field.
  • May require certification.
  • Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience within a distribution business.
  • Experience directly or indirectly leading and influencing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of the organization’s price strategy.
  • Consults and advises senior merchandising leaders on all pricing decisions.
  • Ensures that competitive insights, data, and price elasticity are elements of price strategy.
  • Champions company response to market conditions as they impact pricing.
  • Analyzes sales trends and transactions to ensure pricing meets all market levels.
  • Partners with peer leaders to develop, test, and implement creative approaches to customer discounts.
  • Reviews and improves operating processes and performance metrics related to list prices and business performance.
  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
