About The Position

We are InShared: an online insurer that does everything just a little differently. We started as a disruptor in the Dutch insurance world. Now we are on our way to expanding internationally. We use smart technology to make our insurance services simple, fast and fair. Our goal is to build the best digital insurance product in the world. Today, we are a team of 350 people, but soon we could be 500. To continue growing internationally, we are looking for entrepreneurial and energetic people who want to keep shaking up the insurance industry with us.

Requirements

10+ years hands-on experience as (pricing) actuary in the Spanish P&C market with a focus on commercial pricing in car insurance (experience within a digital insurance model is a plus).
A university degree in a relevant (mathematical) field.
Exceptional quantitative, logical, and analytical abilities, with a knack for solving complex problems.
Solid understanding of actuarial and the latest data science (machine learning) & AI techniques.
Proficiency in SQL, R (or Python), foundational AI models and cloud computing.
Familiarity with programming best practices, such as version control using Git.
Strong communicative skills.
Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset.
Fluent in English, spoken and written.

Nice To Haves

Experience within a digital insurance model is a plus.

Responsibilities

Predict the likelihood and potential risk and costs of future claims as well as optimal conversion rates.
Dynamically adjusting our Spanish pricing models, utilizing market data and performing conversion analysis to optimize profitability.
Identifying market trends, detecting potential fraud, and enhancing pricing accuracy through statistical modeling, using both classical and AI methods.
Develop alert systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing insightful reports on pricing strategies.
