About The Position

A Pricing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that a company’s products or services are priced accurately, competitively, and in line with business goals. This role bridges retail operations, merchandising, and finance, helping maintain profitability while meeting customer expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma minimum; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, finance, economics, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years in retail, pricing, or related roles; retail experience is often preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SAP or similar systems, financial analysis, and data reporting.
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage price changes: Process markdowns, promotional pricing, competitive adjustments, and new item pricing through POS systems.
  • Maintain pricing accuracy: Audit shelf prices against POS data, correct mismatches, and ensure labels, signage, and POS match.
  • Coordinate with merchandising and buying teams: Receive, verify, and input new item pricing before placement.
  • Manage clearance and promotional campaigns: Oversee markdown schedules, clearance strategies, and ad batches for promotions.
  • Analyze pricing data: Use Excel, SAP, or other tools to review sales reports, vendor performance, and market trends to recommend pricing strategies.
  • Support vendor and account management: Ensure vendor compliance with company standards, update vendor files, and assist in contract negotiations.
  • Resolve pricing issues: Address customer complaints, scanner discrepancies, and pricing errors promptly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work with finance, customer service, inventory management, and marketing to align pricing with business objectives.
