About The Position

This position is responsible for sorting donations, pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe processing area. The PRICER plays a key role in ensuring that salable goods are efficiently moved to the sales floor and that unsafe items are not sold. This role requires adherence to production goals, knowledge of merchandise and pricing trends, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Requirements

  • Able to stand, bend, and reach.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to forty (60) pounds with no support regularly. Over forty (60) pounds requires additional team member assistance.
  • Able to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects as required by job.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Regular attendance at the job, requiring teamwork and interaction with others.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability to develop, provide, and maintain effective working relationships with team leader, team members, customers, and clients.
  • Willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • A high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Process donations within 24 hours, ensuring goods are continually flowing to the sales floor.
  • Sort donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories.
  • Place non-salable apparel, shoes, or handbags into salvage containers.
  • Place other non-salable items (e.g., broken or non-functioning wares, electrical and mechanical items, wet items) into trash.
  • Meet and exceed production goals.
  • Price merchandise using the baseline price guide and special pricing for exceptional value items.
  • Stay informed about brand names, merchandise knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain the processing area and equipment in a neat, clean, and operable condition.
  • Perform mark-downs in compliance with GGC policy.
  • Review and utilize Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent unsafe items from being sold.
  • Follow good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards.
  • Attend in-service and related training as assigned.
  • Safely move wares totes to/off the sales floor (no more than four high; empty totes stacked at 15 high).
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the TLC and/or ATL.
