About The Position

This role is responsible for sorting donations, pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe processing area. The PRICER ensures that donations are processed efficiently, goods are moved to the sales floor, and unsafe items are identified and removed. The position requires adherence to production goals, knowledge of brand names and pricing trends, and compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Able to stand, bend, and reach.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move up to 60 pounds with no support regularly; request assistance for items over 60 pounds.
  • Able to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Regular attendance, requiring teamwork and interaction with others.
  • Ability to work under general supervision.
  • Ability to develop, provide, and maintain effective working relationships with team leader, team members, customers, and clients.
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Process donations within 24 hours, ensuring continuous flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Sort donations into salable, salvage, and trash categories.
  • Place non-salable apparel, shoes, or handbags into salvage containers.
  • Dispose of other non-salable items (e.g., broken, non-functioning, electrical, mechanical, wet items) into trash.
  • Meet and exceed production goals.
  • Price merchandise using the baseline price guide and identify special pricing for exceptional items.
  • Stay informed about brand names, merchandise, industry trends, and competitive pricing.
  • Maintain the processing area and equipment in a neat, clean, and operable condition.
  • Perform mark-downs in compliance with GGC policy.
  • Review Consumer Product Safety Commission recall bulletins to prevent the sale of unsafe items.
  • Follow good safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards.
  • Attend in-service and related training as assigned.
  • Safely move wares totes to and from the sales floor, stacking them appropriately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader Coach (TLC) and/or Assistant Team Leader (ATL).
