About The Position

The Price Accuracy Associate is responsible for ensuring pricing integrity within the store, maintaining gross profit margins, and adhering to pricing regulations. This role involves entering new items, deleting old items, correcting pricing errors, overseeing weekly price changes, and coordinating sales promotion activities. The associate will also be responsible for shelf tag maintenance, activating batch pricing work, communicating pricing updates, assisting with ad merchandise signage, and identifying/correcting inaccuracies. Additionally, the role requires maintaining knowledge of product locations, managing inventory of supplies, ensuring general sanitation and adherence to health/OSHA requirements, and properly disposing of trash. The associate must cooperate with co-workers and supervisors for smooth department and store function, continuously improve job performance, and utilize all company-provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE), such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear. Other staff duties may be required, and the associate may be called upon to assist in other departments.

Requirements

Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
Follows company policies relating to increase customer satisfaction.
Enters new items into the system, deletes old items, and ensures pricing integrity by correcting or reporting omissions, errors or any inconsistencies in a timely manner.
Oversees weekly price changes and pricing throughout the store to maintain gross profit margins.
Adheres to company and state pricing regulations.
Responsible for verifying weekly circular pricing execution, is aware of all ad items and any special restrictions.
Coordinates the weekly sales promotion activities with department managers.
Performs shelf tag maintenance as required according to established calendars and deadlines.
Activates pricing batch work via computer at correct times.
Communicates effectively with other departments as needed to provide updates or changes to pricing.
Assists with the signage of ad merchandise to reflect company standards.
Identifies and corrects inaccuracies.
Maintains knowledge of product locations to assist customers and co-workers.
Keeps inventory of supplies and orders additional needs.
Responsible for general sanitation in the department.
Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
Disposes of trash properly.
Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
Responsible to continuously improve job performance.
Responsible for utilization of all company provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
Performs other staff duties as required.
May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
