About The Position

The Price Accuracy Associate is responsible for ensuring pricing integrity within the store. This role involves entering new items, deleting old items, correcting pricing errors, and overseeing weekly price changes to maintain gross profit margins. The associate must adhere to company and state pricing regulations, verify weekly circular pricing execution, and coordinate sales promotion activities. Additionally, they are responsible for shelf tag maintenance, activating pricing batch work, communicating pricing updates to other departments, and assisting with signage for ad merchandise. The role also includes identifying and correcting inaccuracies, maintaining product location knowledge, managing supply inventory, and ensuring general sanitation and maintenance of the department and work areas according to health and OSHA requirements. Cooperation with co-workers and supervisors is essential for smooth department and store function, along with a commitment to continuous job performance improvement and proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
  • Follows company policies relating to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Enters new items into the system, deletes old items, and ensures pricing integrity by correcting or reporting omissions, errors or any inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Oversees weekly price changes and pricing throughout the store to maintain gross profit margins.
  • Adheres to company and state pricing regulations.
  • Responsible for verifying weekly circular pricing execution, is aware of all ad items and any special restrictions.
  • Coordinates the weekly sales promotion activities with department managers.
  • Performs shelf tag maintenance as required according to established calendars and deadlines.
  • Activates pricing batch work via computer at correct times.
  • Communicates effectively with other departments as needed to provide updates or changes to pricing.
  • Assists with the signage of ad merchandise to reflect company standards.
  • Identifies and corrects inaccuracies.
  • Maintains knowledge of product locations to assist customers and co-workers.
  • Keeps inventory of supplies and orders additional needs.
  • Responsible for general sanitation in the department.
  • Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean and meet all health and OSHA requirements.
  • Disposes of trash properly.
  • Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Responsible to continuously improve job performance.
  • Responsible for utilization of all company provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
  • Performs other staff duties as required.
  • May also be called upon to assist in other departments.
