About The Position

Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino & Hotel is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform basic routine maintenance on a variety of HVAC and electrical equipment. This role involves supporting the Engineering department as directed by management. The technician will establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment. Responsibilities include following manufacturer’s preventive maintenance schedules, performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, utilizing building automation and work order systems, maintaining maintenance and repair records, abiding by safety policies, and responding to emergency situations. The position requires adherence to all regulatory, departmental, and company policies and procedures in an ethical manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year of general maintenance experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility required
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record required
  • Ability to read and understand simple blueprints and diagrams
  • Ability to use technical manuals to understand equipment operation and maintenance
  • Basic understanding of chilled and hot water systems
  • Basic understanding of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Basic understanding of pumps, motors, and compressed air systems
  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree (HVAC) or trade diploma in a technical field from an accredited educational institution preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
  • Follow manufacturer’s preventive maintenance schedules which include: changing filters, washing condenser/evaporator coils, checking pressures/temperatures, punching tubes, changing belts, etc.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Utilize building automation and work order system
  • Maintain records of maintenance and repair using computerized maintenance programs
  • Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to department management
  • Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
  • Respond to emergency and critical situations
  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
