About The Position

This role involves performing preventive maintenance service, preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external or Hiab locations. The position is responsible for contributing to productive customer relationships and following Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities. While the Hiab facility is located in Tampa, FL, all preventive maintenance work will be conducted in the Hialeah, FL and surrounding areas.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position
  • Valid Driver’s License is required
  • No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience
  • Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • This position requires 100% travel

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment, such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists, as instructed by District Service Manager
  • Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards
  • Staying up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and following technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager applicable to equipment
  • Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements
  • Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System
  • Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager
