About The Position

The primary function of a Preventative Maintenance Technician is to complete preventative maintenance on all production equipment, following applicable preventative maintenance task lists. This role requires the ability to dismantle and reassemble equipment without supervision, interpret PM work orders, and make suggestions for improvements to PM task lists. The technician will perform maintenance tasks, identify and correct defects or potential issues, and maintain a clean and safe work area while complying with GMP requirements and company policies.

Requirements

• Works well with others, fostering a team atmosphere.
• Basic experience with hand tools.
• Able to develop proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools and manual repair equipment.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read and record written instructions.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be willing and able to maintain open, effective communication with team members as well as departmental and plant leadership.
• High School or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a formal technical training program or experience in an industrial maintenance role a plus.

Nice To Haves

• Able to develop the skills needed to read mechanical schematics and blueprints; follow directions from manuals.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance on all production equipment, following applicable preventative maintenance task lists.

• Interpret PM work orders and complete them in a timely manner.
• Make suggestions on improvements or additions to PM task lists.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and look for defects or potential issues and correct them as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area at all times.
• Comply with all GMP requirements.
• Adhere/comply with all Company policies, procedures and practices.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
