About The Position

The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and servicing of agricultural equipment to ensure reliable performance and minimize downtime. This role focuses on scheduled preventative care, supporting overall farm productivity and equipment longevity.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, agriculture, or diesel service (preferred but not required).
Basic mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and equipment systems.
Ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules.
Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Experience with agricultural equipment (John Deere, Case IH, Ford trucks, etc.).
Familiarity with irrigation systems and pumps.
Experience using maintenance tracking systems.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment, including oil and filter changes (engine, hydraulic, fuel, air), and lubrication and greasing of moving parts.
Service and inspect tractors, harvesters, field equipment, irrigation pumps and power units, and farm trucks, trailers, and utility vehicles.
Check and maintain fluid levels (oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, DEF).
Inspect belts, hoses, tires, batteries, and lights.
Identify and report mechanical issues before failure occurs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs.
Assist mechanics with basic repairs when needed.
Keep work area, tools, and service truck clean and organized.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
