Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card is required for this position.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required.
  • No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two violations within a two year time frame. All violations will be reviewed.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1+ years mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical experience.
  • Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance service, preventive maintenance inspections, safety checks, and minor corrective actions on equipment at external or Hiab locations in line with Manager’s instructions.
  • Contribute to productive customer relationships.
  • Follow Best Practices in all administrative and technical activities.
  • Inspect, report findings, initiate quote based on findings, and then conduct service or repair on equipment, such as Forklifts, Knuckle Boom Cranes, Loaders, Liftgates, Hooklifts, Skiploaders & Hoists, as instructed by District Service Manager.
  • Keep adequate records and maintain documentation in line with agreed standards.
  • Stay up to date with technical developments as shown in internal service bulletins and follow technical courses when instructed by District Service Manager applicable to equipment.
  • Follow applicable safety rules, agreed working practices and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct self at all times in a way that promotes a positive image of the Hiab brand and follow rules of the Quality System.
  • Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
