About The Position

Provides scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, fire alarm systems, building maintenance system and tube system and other electric associated PMs within the physical plant. Works as a team member with other preventive maintenance technicians to assure that equipment receives complete maintenance at appropriate intervals. Seeks to prolong the useful life of equipment and reduce the downtime. Designs efficient routes for electrical preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Five years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid NC driver's license.
• Must be able to be insured by the facilities insurance carrier.
• Good team member, able to ask for help and offer assistance when needed.
• Knowledge of and ability to use a wide assortment of tools needed for electrical preventive maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Maintain license in specific skill/expertise.

Nice To Haves

• Maintain a current license (or state and locally recognized educational degree or technical certificate) in Electrical Contracting, or General Contracting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, fire alarm systems, building maintenance system, tube system, and other electrical PMs.
• Collaborate with other preventive maintenance technicians to ensure complete maintenance of equipment at appropriate intervals.
• Prolong the useful life of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Design efficient routes for electrical preventive maintenance.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records and submit them to the shift supervisor in a timely manner.
