About The Position

The Prevention Specialist performs advanced professional and administrative work to prevent violence and substance abuse by training and educating community and student groups. This role provides advanced consultative services to youth and adults in the community and conducts student groups in schools. Work involves extensive public speaking, curriculum/program research and development, provision of training, and program delivery and evaluation. The specialist also develops and fosters community coalition and partnership activities where appropriate.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field or education is required.
• Experience with public speaking and presentations is required.
