About The Position

The Prevention Program Manager provides leadership and oversight for the program, ensuring high-quality services are delivered. This role supervises and coaches staff to provide supportive services, parenting education, advocacy, and resource connection to promote child well-being and prevent children from entering formal foster care whenever safely possible. This isn't just a position—it's an opportunity to help families succeed, keep children safe, and create stronger futures for generations to come.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, public administration, or a related human services field.
  • Two (2+) years of experience working in non-profit social service agencies.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities with an understanding of the barriers that impact underserved communities.
  • Ability to quickly establish rapport and build trust.
  • Ability to collaborate and advocate for positive outcomes, using interpersonal skills in multi-disciplinary, diverse and dynamic professional teams.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Proven track record in setting priorities and proposing new ways of creating efficiencies.
  • Adaptable and proactive self-starter who effectively multitasks while maintaining strong attention to detail and organization to consistently meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Core understanding of program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence through leadership, team management, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Adapt communication and work style to effectively engage diverse cultures, individuals, and organizations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred.
