The Tobacco Control Program is seeking a community-minded individual to join our team as a Prevention Specialist. This position will work with partners across the state to reduce initiation and use of tobacco and nicotine at the community level. This is a great position for someone who enjoys health education, establishing networks, and collaborative problem solving. The work of the Prevention Specialist will include: Coordination of the Tobacco Coalition grants. Contributing to coordination among partners both inside the Health Department and in Vermont communities. Fostering new relationships and connections across public health systems to strengthen tobacco and nicotine use prevention. Supporting Tobacco Control Program activities such as program planning, workplan development and monitoring, and reporting to our state and federal partners.
