About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Preventative Maintenance Technician to join our team. If you are a strong background in electronic security systems, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you! In this role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, service, installation, system commissioning, and customer training for a variety of electronic and physical security systems. You’ll work independently while collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of experience installing and servicing electronic security systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with low-voltage wiring and electronic security equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel for up to one week at a time, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on electronic and physical security systems.
  • Install, wire, and configure electronic security equipment according to project specifications.
  • Pull and terminate low-voltage cabling.
  • Test installed and serviced systems to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform service calls, troubleshooting, repairs, system startups, and commissioning.
  • Conduct customer training on installed systems.
  • Complete site surveys as requested.
  • Communicate project status and service updates with customers and management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including timesheets, expense reports, equipment transfers, and change orders.
  • Manage truck stock inventory and maintain installation tools and equipment.
  • Safeguard company and customer property and confidential information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and ensure routine maintenance is completed.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Mentor and train less experienced technicians on installation procedures, service techniques, and company standards.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
