Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Preventative Maintenance Technician on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed. Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area. The preventative maintenance technician will play a critical role in completing on time PM’s utilizing our maintenance program. This position will work with production to coordinate downtime to complete PM’s to proactively address and mitigate equipment breakdowns. Will work with Maintenance Supervisor and PM Planner to review and develop robust and effective PM’s.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years PM maintenance technician experience
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams.
  • Ability to find, locate and read blueprints and schematics as needed.
  • Ability to quickly diagnose equipment malfunctions and return to operational condition.
  • Ability to perform adequate manipulation and display the manual dexterity required to operate all tools required to affect a proper repair action.
  • Ability to perform all bending, twisting, and reaching motions to manipulate a load of at least 30 lbs.
  • Must be capable of using all personal protective equipment required to perform the maintenance tasks required.
  • Must use all standard electrical and machine safety practices recommended by OSHA.
  • This position requires access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations. As such, this position is open only to applicants who qualify as “U.S. Persons” according to U.S. federal law.

Responsibilities

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks including, lubrication, calibration, cleaning, and work with maintenance technician on the replacement of parts when identified as faulty.
  • Make accurate inputs of repair actions into the maintenance program via keyboard entry as they occur.
  • Receive and prioritize machine PM actions for assigned area.
  • Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform PM’s.
  • Utilize the maintenance system to document work done for the PM.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts to complete assigned PM’s.
  • Utilize the Clock in/out system accurately per company policy.
